Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel SOFER is an American actress
from the United States. Her roles include daytime television as well as
episodic guest performances and movies made for TV. In 1995, Sofer received a
Daytime Emmy Award for her portrayal of Lois Cerullo in the soap show General
Hospital. She has been playing Quinn Fuller since 2013 on CBS' soap production
The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter
of Susan Sofer, a psychology professor as well as Martin Sofer, a Conservative
rabbi. Her family subsequently moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, until when,
following the divorce of her parentsshe moved with her brother and father David
to Teaneck, New Jersey, in 1970. When Sofer was five years old, they lived in
Western Pennsylvania. The family was brought up in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by
their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. In the following years, she attended
the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which is coeducational Mordern
Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. Her
father was the rabbi of Temple Beth El. After graduating from North Bergen High
School in 1998, she pursued her studies at Montclair State College. Sofer was
the first actress to play Lois Marie Cerullo at General Hospital. Her first
appearance was in 1993, as a band manager. However, her first high-profile role
was Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap opera Loving (1988-91). One of her most
well-known roles is Lois Cerullo, a nurse on General Hospital from December 15,
1993 to September 24, 1996. She later returned as guest-starring (February 7-17
in 1997; September 30 - October 2, 1997). In 1995, Sofer won a Daytime Emmy
Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress on a Drama Series for her performance
as Lois. Sofer became a part of CBS's soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful as
Quinn Fuller, a role she had just created. The premiere episode premiered in
July 2013. Sofer has been a guest as a cast member or guest in a range of
popular prime-time TV shows, including Seinfeld and Melrose Place. She also
appeared in The Chronicle, Ed and Friends. The first episode aired on the 12th
of July.
