Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos, a Canadian actor from Canada. She was a part of the Teletoon children's show Majority Rules as Becky Richards. From 2009 until 2010. She then starred as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson in the NBC post-apocalyptic sci-fi series Revolution between 2012 and 2014, for which she was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television. Annika Johnson played her character in the A&E television drama Bates Motel. Spiridakos has starred in the NBC drama Chicago P.D. since 2017. Spiridakos portrays Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Greek-born parents, who were restaurant proprietors George and Anastasia Spiridakos She has two brothers. Her family relocated to Skala in Greece located south of Sparta within a short time after her birth. In 1992 they came back to Canada. She is very attached to her Greek roots and is fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting when she was in junior high school, and was a student at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she was a graduate of Oak Park High School. Spiridakos moved to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting. She landed her first TV role within weeks, a small part with Supernatural. She appeared on television for another few years with parts on Psych, The L Word, Hellcats and Bionic Woman. Spiridakos appeared in the TV film Goblin and in the web-based television series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. She also had a recurring part on Being Human as werewolf Brynn McLean.In 2009, she won her first lead role on the Canadian Teletoon series Majority Rules!, playing 15-year-old Becky Richards. In 2011, she made her feature film debut in the film Rise of the Planet of the Apes. She also filmed Kill for Me, a low-budget thriller by Michael Greenspan. The film featured Donal Logue, Katie Cassidy, and directed by Michael Greenspan. Spiridakos played Sammi in the 2012 Nickelodeon original film, Rags. The actress was then offered the lead part in the NBC television show Revolution as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson, an aspiring survivalist living in an unimaginative future society. When she was in her first pilot season, she auditioned for this role. Spiridakos filmed the pilot in Atlanta and the pilot season in Wilmington. For her performance on the pilot she was nominated for win the Saturn Award for Best Actress on television. She was beaten out by Anna Torv of Fringe's Anna Torv. The series' second season was shot in Austin, Texas.
