Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy, born November 25 in 1968, is a Canadian actress. Her roles on American television shows like Law & Order were three-seasons long. Crossing Jordan lasted six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh was her lead character. She was also in films like RoboCop 3 & Most Wanted and in independent film Chutney Popcorn & The Acting Class. The film was directed and written by her. Hennessy was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, her father was a meat-salesman, as well as an executive in sales and marketing. His work required a lot of traveling, which meant numerous changes for the entire family. The mother of her child, Maxine, a secretary was a divorcee in 1982 leaving her daughter partially raised by her paternal grandmother Eleanor who lives in Kitchener, Ontario. Her younger brother, John Paul "J.P." Hennessy, Jr., and a identical twin sister named Jacqueline She is a magazine writer and TV show host in Canada. Hennessy has Irish as well as French, Swedish, Italian and Swedish ancestry from her father. She also has mostly Ukrainian Roma and Austrian heritage from her mother. She was a graduate of Grand River Collegiate Institute and Stanley Park Senior Public School. Hennessy, her sister and her first role on stage was as twin call girls in 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, who was the actress who ultimately got the part, claimed she was selected to be the character Dana Scully in The X-Files. The role was played by her for three seasons, leaving the show in the year 1996.
