Danielle Riley
Keough is an American actress. She was born in Santa Monica to Danny Keough and
Lisa Marie Presley. She is the daughter of Elvis Presley, actress, and singer.
Keough was raised mostly by her father in Hawaii and Los Angeles, and
additionally spent time residing with her mother in California and Tennessee.
She started modeling at fifteen. The appearances she made at Dolce &
Gabbana fashion shows and Christian Dior's cover shoots were just among her
many highlights. When she was 20, Keough was cast in the role of a support in
The Runaways (2010) as Marie Currie. Following The Good Doctor (2011) she
starred in Jack & Diane (2012). The film was followed by her being cast
as a minor character in Steven Soderbergh's comedy Magic Mike (2012). In 2012,
Keough appeared in Yellow and Kiss of the Damned. In the following year, she
was in the action film Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). It was the fourth movie in
the Mad Max series. In 2016, Keough had her breakthrough role as a law
student-turned-escort in the first season of the anthology series The
Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by Soderbergh and based on his 2009
film of the same name. The critics praised her for her performance and earned
an Golden Globe Award nomination for the best performance by an actress in a
Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. Her subsequent
performance as a wayward young female in the drama American Honey (2017) earned
the actress further praise as well as an Independent Spirit Award nomination
for Best Supporting Female. Keough played a role in the 2017 apocalyptic
thriller movie It Comes at Night. She was also reunited with Soderbergh for
Logan Lucky, his heist film. It was followed by roles in a variety of thriller
and horror films in 2018, including Lars von Trier's The House That Jack Built
and the neonoir Under the Silver Lake. Keough was the lead character in The
Lodge, a psychological horror movie. Zola is Keough's comedy-drama sequel.
Keough is the main character in Sandy Harrison, Netflix's 2020 release The
Devil All the Time.
