Sadie Elizabeth Sink Bio
Sadie Elizabeth Sink (born April 16 2002) is an American actress from the United States. She is most well-known for her character Maxine "Max" Mayfield on Netflix's Stranger Things and has also appeared in Blue Bloods and The Americans. Sink also has credits on Broadway with credits like Annie as well as The Audience. Her mother arranged for her to go to Houston to study acting due to her fascination with the Disney High School Musical. In turn, it led to a Broadway audition and a part in the 2012 production of Annie at the age of 11 years old. To get ready for her role, she took dance lessons and did vocal exercises. In the beginning she served as the standby for all orphans. Then the lead character was replaced and she started to alternate the title role for a few more months. After that she acted out the final scene as Annie's understudy, Duffy. While filming the drama film The Glass Castle, she was very close to Woody Harrelson, and particularly with his daughter, Makani. She was already a vegetarian, but Harrelson and his family inspired her to go vegan. In 2017, she portrayed Maxine "Max" Mayfield on the Netflix original Stranger Things. In 2018 she co-starred with Rooney Mara, Sia, Joaquin Phoenix and Kat von D to read Chris Delforce's documentary about animal rights Dominion. For her contribution to Dominion she was awarded the award in 2018. Award of Excellence for Narration by the Hollywood International Independent Documentary Awards.
